A Letter to A
Crazy Father
I thought you were crazy when
you would spank me with an extension cord.
I thought you were crazy when
you would put me on punishment.
I thought you were crazy when I could not
do or say certain things.
I thought you were crazy when I could not go
certain places with
certain people.
I really thought you were crazy
when I could not talk to girls at a certain age.
Because of your
craziness
I have not be in a jail cell.
Because of your craziness
I
don't have five kids by four different women.
Because of your
craziness
I am in college and I am making a positive name for
myself.
Because of your craziness
I have not been shot by gang members
or been shot at by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The only
crazy thing would have been,
not doing what you have done.
Thank you
for being my crazy
father.
Love,
Cullen
